Along the right back of Bhagirathi stands the shrine of Gangotri
dedicated to the Goddess. Perched at a height of 3042 mts., it was
constructed in the early 18th century by a Gorkha Commander, Amar Singh
Thapa. Every year, lakhs of pilgrims throng the sacred temple between May
and October. By November, Gangotri is covered by snow. It is believed that
the Goddess retreats to Mukhba, her winter abode (12 kms downstream).

Day 01 DELHI – HARIDWAR, 210
Kms. ( Drive 4 – 5 hrs ) Arrive Delhi and transfer to
Haridwar by Road / Train ( as per preference ). On arrival in Haridwar,
Check in Hotel Haveli Hari Ganga ( the only heritage hotel in Haridwar with
its own Ghat ) to relax. Evening free or visit Har Ki Pauri. Dinner and
overnight at Hotel.
Day 02 – Haridwar – Harsil. ( Drive
290 kms 8 – 9 hrs ) After breakfast leave for Harsil a drive
of 290 kms. En route stop at Uttarkashi for Lunch. Restart and On the way
stop at Gangnani for hot water spring dip. Restart to reach Harsil, One of
the most beautiful valleys in the world and reach The Char Dham Camp set
amidst an apple Orchard in Dharali village 2 kms away from Harsil cantonment
in the valley on the highway itself. On arrival check in for dinner and
overnight. Evening Ganga Aarti at camp is a regular affair.
Day 03 – Harsil – Gangotri – Harsil.
Drive 22 one side After breakfast leave for Gangotri and on
arrival take a holy dip in the River sacred The Ganges, also called
Bhagirathi at its origin. Perform Pooja after that and relax for sometime in
the lovely surroundings. Come back to Camp resort in the afternoon to realx
in the bright sunshine and some of breathtaking views of the valley
beautiful. In the evening perform the Ganga Aarti at resorts own river bank.
Dinner and overnight at camp.
Day 04 –HARSIL
- HARIDWAR ( Drive 290 kms 8 – 9 hrs ) After breakfast leave
for Hraidwar and stop at Chinyalisaur for Lunch. Also see the Tehri Dam site
n the way and proceed on to reach Haridwar by evening. Tour ends on arrival.
Day 05 – HARIDWAR – DELHI
Morning depart from Haridwar for Delhi to end the tour .

Cradled in the twin mountain ranges of Nar and Narayan is the
holiest of the four main shrines, Badrinath along the left bank of river
Alaknanda. With the splendid Neelkanth mountains as the backdrop, it is an
important destination on the sacred itinerary of every devout Hindu. Once
the spot was carpeted with 'badris' or wild berries and hence was famous as
'Badri Van'.
The temple of Shri Badrinathji on the banks of the
Alaknanda river, dates back to the vedic times. Situated at an altitude of
3133 mts., the present temple is believed to have been built by Adi Guru
Shankracharya - an 8th century's philosopher-saint, who also established a
'math' here. Also known as 'Vishal Badri', Badrinath is one of the Panch
Badris'

Day 02 –HARIDWAR –
JOSHIMATH via Rudraprayag. 274 kms. ( 8 – 9 hrs ) After
breakfast leave for Joshimath via Devprayag and rudraprayag. Sto at Monal
resorts Rudraparayag for Lunch. Proceed on to reach Joshimath in the
afternoon. Arrive at The Char Dham Camp Joshimath by late afternoon. Evening
fee in Joshimath. Dinner and overnight at resort.
Day 03 – JOSHIMATH – BADRINATH –
JOSHIMATH. ( Drive 90 kms ) After breakfast leave for Shri
Badrinath ji, on arrival take the holy Darshan and spend time visiting Mana
village the last village before the Tibet border. Come back to The Resort
for dinner and overnight.
Day 04 -
JOSHIMATH – HARIDWAR. 274kms. ( Drive 9 – 10 hrs) After
breakfast leave for Haridwar and on the way take lunch at Srinagar. Restart
and if time permits visit Devprayag ( The confluence of rivers Alaknanda and
Bhagirathi, to become Ganga ). Reach Haridwar in the evening to check in
Hotel Hari Ganga Haveli.
Day 05 –
Haridwar – Onward Journey Depart from Haridwar for your
onward journey to end the tour.

Amidst the dramatic mountainscapes of the majestic
Kedarnath range stands one of the twelve 'Jyotirlingas' of Kedar or Lord
Shiva. Lying at an altitude of 3584 mts. on the head of river Mandakini, the
shrine of Kedarnath is amongst the holiest pilgrimages for the Hindus.
The origin of the revered temple can be found in the great epic -
Mahabharata. According to legend, the Pandavas sought the blessings of Lord
Shiva to atone their sins after the battle of Mahabharata. Lord shiva eluded
them repeatedly and while fleeing took refuge at Kedarnath in the form of a
bull. On being followed, HE dived into the ground, leaving behind HIS hump
on the surface. This conical protrusion is worshipped as the idol in the
shrine.
The remaining portions of Lord Shiva are worshipped at
four other places - the arms (bahu) at Tungnath, mouth (mukh) at Rudranath,
navel (nabhi) at Madmaheshwar and hair(jata) at Kalpeshwar. Together with
Kedarnath, these places are known as the Panch Kedar.

Day 01 DELHI – HARIDWAR, 210

Day 02 –
HARIDWAR – GUPTAKASHI. 223kms. (Drive 9 – 10 hrs) After
breakfast leave for Guptakashi via Rudraprayag. Late Lunch en route at
Srinagar. After lunch restart your journey and today for the first time see
the river beautiful MANDAKINI. Travel along this to reach Guptakashi late in
the evening. On arrival check in The Char Dham Camp ( Guptakashi ) located 2
kms out of town towards Gaurikund. Dinner and overnight at The resort.
Day 03 - GUPTAKASHI – KEDARNATH. ( Drive
32 kms trek 14 kms ) After breakfast pick up your packed Lunch and
leave for Gaurikund ( a 32 kms drive one way ) on arrival start your journey
on the tough trek ahead. Stop for the lunch en route and restart after that
to arrive by late afternoon. On arrival check in GMVN / Parmarth Ashram.
After freshening up perform Pooja and also Drahsan at the shri Kedarnath ji.
In the evening also visit Adi Shankaracharya samadhi at the back of the
temple. Dinner and overnight at ahsram.
Day
04 – KEDARNATH – GUPTAKASHI. ( Trek 14 kms, drive 32 kms )
After breakfast start you journey back to Gaurikund and on arrival leave for
Guptakashi by road to reach the Char Dham Camp by evening. Relax with
Ayurvedic Massage. Dinner and overnight at resort.
Day 05 - GUPTAKASHI – HARIDWAR. 223kms. (
Drive 9 – 10 hrs) After breakfast leave for Haridwar and on
the way take lunch at Srinagar. Restart and if time permits visit Devprayag
( The confluence of rivers Alaknanda and Bhagirathi, to become Ganga ).
Reach Haridwar in the evening to check in Hotel Hari Ganga Haveli.
Day 06 – Haridwar – Onward Journey
Depart from Haridwar for your onward journey to end the tour.
